If you are in a tight game, you will have to make sure that you do not go in too early, because you might end up with a small pot.
Another time when going all in becomes a good Poker strategy is when you have your opponent read. For example, if your opponent is very tight, then putting everything on the line will be a viable tactic. Some players, especially rocks, fold easily however, so in some cases even a raise may be enough.
